Approaching Christmasand the editors https://recipesmyfood.com invites you to cook up a compote, the recipe is so simple and does not require exotic ingredients, and only native, Ukrainian fruit growing in every garden.

Cooked stewed fruit or compote, as regular juice, with the only difference: before cooking dried fruits should be soaked for some time in water.

As a sweetener instead of sugar in the compote you can use honey.

To prepare the compote, in our recipe should take the following products:

  • 100 g of honey,
  • 200 g prunes,
  • 200 g dried pears,
  • 200 g dried apples,
  • 100 g of raisins,
  • 5 liters of water.

Compote – recipe:

  • Before you cook the compote, arrange the dried fruit. To do this, wash them with warm water and pour it on for 10 minutes with cold water.
  • Pour in the pan 5 liters of water, put the pears and apples and boil on low heat for 15 minutes.
  • Cover the compote with a lid and leave for 2-3 hours to steep.
  • Then add the compote of prunes and raisins and boil another 10-15 minutes.
  • Strain the compote, add the honey and bring the compote to the table chilled.
